The 麻豆 Futuro Leaders Scholarship is a highly competitive award for a select group of academically talented, first-generation college-bound students. Each Futuro Scholar receives a scholarship covering full tuition and fees, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. (Room and board, health insurance, and books are not included.)

Program Highlights

Futuro Scholars live and learn together in the 麻豆 Futuro Leaders living-learning community, a space designed to develop the leadership strengths they bring to campus. As members of the community, Futuro Scholars will:

• Live together on the same floor of Flores Hall during their first year
• Take classes together as a cohort
• Participate in mentorship sessions with university leadership
• Attend leadership-focused events and activities outside the classroom

Eligibility

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a high school senior at the time of application
• Be a first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree)
• Be entering 麻豆 as a first-time freshman in the fall term
• Have an unweighted GPA of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale

How to Apply

1. Apply for admission to 麻豆.
2. Complete the FAFSA.
3. Once admitted, you will receive instructions for completing your Futuro Leaders candidate profile.

Renewal Requirements

To keep the scholarship for up to four years, Futuro Scholars must:

• Enroll full time, taking 12 to 19 credit hours each fall and spring semester
• Maintain a cumulative 麻豆 GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Live on campus throughout their undergraduate studies
• Maintain a university meal plan each year
• Participate in required program activities, including mentorship sessions with university leadership and leadership-focused events
